Hope and doorways...

Perhaps someone had already mentioned this at one time or another, but...

Y'ever notice how Hope seemed to be fascinated by "doorways" during the "BFB" era? Let's take a look....

"At The Doorway Again": Title of an EP; Lyric from "Feeling Of Gaze".

"Suzanne is waiting at your doorway...": Lyrics from "Suzanne".

"Gonna walk through your doorway...": Lyrics from "Clear Day".

"Makin' my way through your door....": Lyrics from "These Things".

Plus Wild Roses is a variation on that theme, which has been released for some time: When I look out the door, I know what it's there for.

She also uses truth, heart, eyes, and stars quite a bit both in Mazzy and Warm Inventions. Never noticed the doorway, though. Good ear.

"Truth, hearts, eyes, and stars".... sounds like the "Lucky Charms" cereal mini marshmallow line-up! Yeah, and she used almost all of those words in "Asleep From Day" alone!

I sometimes have trouble deciphering her lyrics, but that "doorway" thing jumped right out at me. Thanks.
