Have you heard any updates regarding Massive Attack's (codenamed) LP5? Last I heard, it's been pushed back ... again ... it's now looking like Spring 2010?


Of all the collaborations that have occurred or been proposed, this has always been the most exciting to me. The potential of this combination is just incredible.

I keep seeing the date get pushed back and back and back. This was the last article I saw which says October 2009. However, I asked Hope's manager and he said even they don't know at this point if Hope's track is going to make it on to the album or not.

I love her singing with Jesus and Mary Chain - Sometimes Always is awesome!

"Asleep From Day" with The Chemical Bros. is my favorite of her guest appearances.

I love everything Hope has done and everything I have been able to find that includes her even doing the odd bit on Munki with The Jesus and Mary Chain, but I think if I had to go with epic for her, it would be her work with Death In Vegas. There are a few collaborations I could live with or without but am glad she is on them, but those two songs, Cherry Blossom Girl w/Air, "Asleep from Day" and all of the Massive Attack mixes have been amazing.

"Sometimes Always" I don't think is the best of the bunch and I not only saw the tour, but with The Jesus and Mary Chain being my favorite band and Hope being my favorite female vocalist, I just hoped for more... The most disappointing, of course, have been all those songs that keep popping up as though they are Hope like "Bright as Yellow" or songs by the Sundays or others that non-Hope fans might confuse with her, but anyone who has fallen asleep to that voice every night for years would never mistake as hers.

As usual, those are just my opinions...
