March MOJO CD misprint

Postby SoftDevil » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:49 pm

Ok, so the people at MOJO magazine got the band name wrong not once - but twice!

Hope's band is referred to as "The Warm Intentions" on the back of the jewel case as well as inside the little "booklet".

Oh, and I LOVE her version of "Golden Hair"! It's got more of a Mazzy feel to it (I think). She sounds so good.

Thanks again to wood for hooking me up with this CD.

"Mazzy" as in reverb-laden vocals which emphasize and accentuate that "western" drawl of hers.... and the slide guitar sounds reminiscent of Roback's work.

I know that anyone can say that these things are also present in her Warm Inventions work. But, over-all, the vibe is very "Mazzy" to me.

... and, yeah - the distorted guitar adds to the Mazzy-ness.
