amazing. Hope & crew are sooooo good at doing the laid back, behind the beat feel thing, and this song probably does it more than any other. As Colm said in an interview, even though it's super laid back, there's still a certain tension to it. So rather than just sounding loose, it's more like they're playing in slow motion or something, so relaxing, so psychedelic, i love it.

BLUE BIRD is the song that confirms that Hope & Co. are serious musicians, modern stylists of the New Melancholy, or Radical Traditionalists, artists that challenge the current asumptions of what "pop" music really is, or can be.....
THINKING LIKE THAT affects me in ways i cant describe, almost too personal, the cello is devastating.
WILD ROSES the way Hope Sandoval records her voice is integral to the effects her music produces...she PULLS YOU IN, slowly, until it CANNOT BE DENIED...this song is a classic, perhaps it could have been written 50 years ago....TIMELESS BEAUTY.
